Oh, I just loved reading this and can’t wait to read the whole thing! One thing…I thought a tussie mussie was a small holder for a bouquet of flowers -a vase that you can carry with you, like for a wedding. My mom has a sterling silver one and always called it a tussie mussie, I didn’t think that was a name for an actual bouquet but for the holder?.
Hey, Sandi! Actually the tussie-mussie is the bouquet and the holder is just usually called a holder or vase. They used to have a lovely display of them at the Smithsonian, and there’s an antique one in the wedding scene of my novel.
